The job

Jack Napier was sitting at a table looking through a deck of cards, trying to think about what his job required him to do without breaking in any guilt over it. The place he was in was a small time restaurant, and the place he was sitting in was at a booth in one of the corners of the place, waiting for Sully to come and discuss the job they were going to pull. This was a good job too, not some slime ball robbery of a gum dispenser or something, so Jack had to bet on Sully being able to talk it over right. If he didn't, things couldn't go more wrong, well they could, but the job could crash.
A few minutes later Sully came on into the place and looked around, turning his head from left to right, before figuring out where Jack was. Sully was another gangster with a position similar to Jack's, except he wasn't always that bright according to some of the other guys Jack had talked to. Jack and Sully hadn't met yet, so it's not like he could judge anyway. He was an older guy with grey hair and a handlebar mustache, wearing an overcoat that looked like grass was growing out of it or something. Jack didn't judge that either, and just began talking to him about the operation.
"Hey Sully, that's one fine coat you got there." Jack said.
"My eyesight's not what it used to be, I didn't think it was this messed up." Sully said, sitting down opposite to Jack.
Jack folded the cards, and then looked at Sully, eyes narrowed.
"It's not about your sight, Sully, it's about the fact that's one fine coat."
"You say it is, Jack. But let's get down to business here."
The place was fairly active, people hanging out and around. There was someone down in a corner, sitting there in a booth, waiting silently. They were dressed all in black, from their coat to their broad brimmed fedora. All in black, except for the white of a black and white pinstriped tie. A shot glass rested on the table, and the someones's hairy left hand in turn rested around it.
"Well first off Falcone's making to catch a good buck, and fast. But this ain't going to be any easy job here, but it's going to get us some cash." Jack said, leaning forward, "You in?"
"I'm in, sure." Sully said.
Sully was curious as to what this job would entail, and was hoping to hear that it'd be easy, though Jack's words had stated that it wasn't. Jack wasn't one to break his word either, so if it wasn't going to be easy, then it just wasn't. Sully had no problem with it either way though, since there was money involved.
"Turns out that we need to take some city documents, get them altered and then replace them with their new and dubious content. He's looking to change something, working on a way to get the politicians."
"So what are we going to have to do?"
"Break into a specific municipal building, get a hold of these documents, under the cover of darkness."
Sully didn't exactly understand the plan, but it sounded fairly simple to accomplish. He was in, just as he said, and was going to help with this job. He wasn't a big fan of the government anyway, so to him he wasn't doing anything wrong. He'd have to worry about getting caught though, and it sounded like they'd need to avoid exactly that. He was sure that it'd be easier than had been said, now.
