- Keep all OOC communications outside of the roleplaying section, we have a chatbox and various discussion topics rendering OOC conversation inside IC topics moot.
- Avoid powergaming or godmodding, the former refers to controlling others' characters in order to proceed to a specific goal, and the later is making your character all powerful. Both of these are found to be irritating and it is certainly advised you do not do either.
- You cannot kill off another player's character without their consent. However if you are a villain and are placed in a condition from which there is no escape it may become necessary to just submit to capture, which will still further your character's storyline.
- All characters have strengths, but also weaknesses, and personality issues, no one is perfect; Batman is human, for instance, but also at peak physical and mental condition.
- This rpgverse is set in its own continuity, so characters will be different from their animated series counterparts and Nolanverse ones. Also if a character hasn't got a small profile on the character list in the app section, then you're allowed to make that character whatever you like only if you stick to the noir feel and make sure he fits into that time. So no Mr. Mobile Phone Man.
- You are allowed two characters at anytime. Please note you can kill them off, or even abandon them if you want, it's up to you.
- There is definitely such a thing as real life, so post absences in the absence area if you're going to be gone for a few weeks or months and could leave someone hanging, to ensure nothing happens to your character.
- It is advisable that if you play as a vigilante or villain that you show them in their civilian life as well, for more plotlines and such that wouldn't be expanded upon otherwise.
- Be sure to understand a character you are rpging with, they may be at times fairly different here. Applications should contain all the basic relevant information on each character they are for.
- If you want a thread for only your character please put a [Closed] tag on it. If it's not done, please save it on your computer, I don't want WIP topics unless they're apps. Don't put [Open] on topics either, if it hasn't got a [Closed] sign it means it's open. Also if you only want one player to reply put this in the topic's name [Name of other player/Closed], if it hasn't got closed, then that's another open topic.
- There is no word count, but it is advised you do not misuse grammar and write as well as you can, also as a note this site is open to people of varying writing quality but it is suggested that you write as well as possible and improve if you should.
- Please try and spell, and if you're unsure on how to that then check a dictionary if you think a word might not be long, or better yet, look it up.
- And last but not least, please write in third person not first.
